Who Is Kathe Knight? |
Kathe is a little bit Reba, a smidge Donna Fargo, and a strong commanding dose of Wynonna, but most of all Kathe Knight is Kathe Knight and a name that music lovers should add to their library. She is firmly planted in mine with Josh Groban, Journey, and Kanye West before and kd lang, Kathy Mattea, and Katy Perry after. Obviously, her (music) has something to offer all listeners. Kathe has paid her dues singing for commercials and performing as an opening act for many country artists. This album, (PEACEFUL, EASY FEELING), proves it is Kathe Knight’s time as a solo artist to take center stage and be the headliner. Give her a listen and there will be something within her voice that resonates for virtually all listeners no matter their musical preference: country, Southern rock, blues or folk. Be prepared, there will be one time in the course of listening to the (latest) album that the “peaceful, easy feeling” will flee and that’s when it becomes apparent there are only twelve songs on the album. The “nameless” voice of Kathe Knight has already been heard across the airwaves through her singing of nation-wide commercial jingles. Her extensive experience as vocalist, keyboardist and songwriter has brought many performance opportunities, from live TV, stage and recorded media to having been the opening act for more than a dozen of country music’s legendary performers in package shows. These include Sawyer Brown, Kentucky Headhunters, Jack Greene, Kitty Wells, Del Reeves, Billy Walker, Bill Anderson, Charlie Louvin, Jeanie C. Riley, and others.
